  • Reserved event but who actually pays? & campus tour event

    First reserved event:

Several spots were reserved for an event sponsored by the Community Relations dept. On the Outlook calendar it stated for that particular entry...
13 spaces for X company - will pay for the spaces. Then in the body of the Outlook calendar entry it states...
guest will have to pay the $5.00 per person.

"Andrea", the Director of Parking & Transportation, entered the information.

I had to call the Parking office for one guest since she thought it meant the company paid for the parking. I did that, & "Missy", one of "Andrea's" employees, told me that Community Relations bought tokens for the people attending the event.

    Why give me conflicting information?

2nd reserved event (the campus tour):

Several spots were reserved for a campus tour sponsored by a dept. located on the same floor as the President's office. The reserved spots were for vendors arriving at the campus. The Outlook calendar entry did not state where the vendors were supposed to meet at & neither did the paperwork the vendors received in the mail. So I called the Parking office & was told to send the customer to the dept. sponsoring the tour. The name of the dept. employee who reserved the spots was posted on the calendar entry. So I looked up her name in the Outlook address book & gave the vendors her office number. Since I was not sure exactly which elevator bank goes to her office *& I did not want the vendors to get lost*, I sent them to campus information.
