  • Complaining for fun and profit

Maybe I'm taking this out of proportion. Yes, they're referring to things like dirty towels or broken shelves, things that are legitimate complaints, but I can see some EW using these for "I got a cold and I was at your resort within the past 6 months."

    Das linkage
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

While I do agree with most of it - I don't think it's right to just try to get discounts or a refund up front.

If your towels are dirty, call housecleaning and request clean ones - even offer to give the dirty ones back.

If a shelf is broken maybe they can get someone to quickly fix it or move you to a different room?

Pictures are one big plus but also speaking quietly and calmly to a manager will get you much further. A screamer may only get the minimum but if you're calm and try not to disturb the other guests, it shows you're taking it maturely and respect the establishment (and the workers).
