so in my facing adventures i found more outdates. i think i'll update the DM again, becuase this was gross!

i was ringing up a customer for welches juice. i happen to look at the cap and notice :

GROSS!

so i told the lady "you might wanna grab another one"
she was surprised and thanked me for noticing.

just looking at it was gross, chunks and stuff


last night i was facing and i decided to check a few childrens remedies. the BVS equivalent of childrens liquid claritn. i found some that expired in April 2009, and June 2009, and some from February 2010

wtf.

the DM told me he came in after i first emailed him and said he didnt find any outdates (prob becuase i found most of them?duh)

this is really gross.

On dry goods, I always try to notice the expiration date while checking people out.

Stuff made in the store I don't worry much about, each department is responsible for pulling out of dates. But I've had some WAY out of date dry goods come through before. I'm not talking a few weeks, I'm talking YEARS out of date.

The best is that we have a "kids club" - kids coming through with their parents get a snack at the registers. Awhile back dairy "donated" some milk cartons (yes, they are shelf stable, no refrigeration needed) to the kids club. A couple of hours later I noticed they were only... 4 months.. out of date. And a couple had been handed out already.

Thanks dairy. I made sure the dairy/grocery manager got an earful over that.

I also now ALWAYS look for an expiration date when buying groceries.

oh yea, i always check dates on almost all food i buy

I remember once we got 12 cases of expired product form our vendor in. Some perishable goods, one expired in 2002. We received it in early 2009.

SM and DM were not happy.
