    Wow!
I don't go in for ancient wisdom
I don't believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious

Very sad. I had heard that he had been ill for the last while, so I guess it's good that he's no longer in pain.

You could always count on an energetic performance from him, no matter how bad the movie was.

            Rest in peace, sir.

As soon as I heard about Dennis Hopper I too immediately thought of the "rule of three"; celebrities everywhere must be shaking in their ridiculously overpriced shoes.

Gary Coleman's death was surprising, but Hopper's wasn't; it's such a shame that the last few months of his life had to be spent not only battling cancer but smack in the middle of super-bitter family drama. At least he's at peace now. Too bad the same can't be said for his family; they're going to be battling it out in court for years to come.

As far as I'm concerned, if you can't put your differences aside long enough to allow a loved one to spend their last days in peace, then Karma should put a boot up your ass. At least my relatives had the decency to let my grandfather die peacefully before they started fighting over his money. I don't know if Hopper's ex or his adult children are the bad guys, or if they all are or none of them are. I only hope that in the end everyone gets exactly what they deserve.
