  • I only have two hands (long)

My brother, myself and group of friends decided to go out and eat. We went to a place that cooks one thing and they bring it out to you. You don't order except for drinks.

I ordered a diet Pepsi and got Sierra Mist. When I told her that it wasn't what I ordered and to please bring me a diet Pepsi she rolled her eyes at me and asked me why I couldn't just drink it. My brother told her that I couldn't have the sugar in it and that I had asked for diet. My friend grabbed it and said that he would drink it.

Every time we asked for something like extra napkins, to put the food at one side of the table so the young kids we were with could be served first ect.. we got told I only have two hands it'll have to wait until I can get a chance to do it.

Because we were in a private dinning room we let the kids get up and look around at some of the pictures and items in the room she stood there and glared at the kids who were keeping their hands to themselves the entire time.

My friend breast fed her baby under a blanket while we were there she glared at my friend while she was doing it.

When it came time for desert I told her that I didn't want the cake that was brought out she rolled her eyes at me and snapped at me everybody likes cake what is wrong with you. Once again I told her that I couldn't have the sugar and she just rolled her eyes.

When we left we heard her complaining loudly about how rude our table was because we didn't leave her a tip.

We did complain to the manager but just got brushed off.

Sounds like that place may not last very long.

I wonder if you can write a letter to the owner, or complain to someone else.

That's what I would do. There is no excuse for being treated like that.

If I had overheard this, I would have went up to the waitress and explained exactly WHY she didn't get a tip.

Wow... I wouldn't have lasted five minutes as a waitress with that attitude where I worked. Unless the food is TEH EFFING AWESOME and you can't get it anywhere else, I wouldn't be going back there...

I'd be tempted to leave after "Can't you just drink it?"

At least you didn't leave a tip. My GF feels guilty for leaving no/too small of a tip so will tip no matter what and irks me especially since we have bad luck at restaurants (it's become a joke between us really). I'm a pretty easy going guy and fairly easy to please, at least enough to leave a 15% tip, so if I'm saying to leave less than 15%, it's pretty bad. Last week her friends and I went to a burger place and the service was pretty bad, and her friends and I said to leave 10% at most. Since she was in charge of the bill, she left 15%+. grrrr.... I don't like rewarding poor service.

I wonder how long this particular location has been in business??? Cause it sounds like they are not going to be there for very long if BOTH the server AND manager have a really bad attitude and entitlement problems.

Getting basic things right like the right/correct beverage to the right person is part of a servers job not just sling the drink to whoever.

Good for you for leaving no TIP. I agree that horrible service equals little or no TIP

Both of my parents suffer from diabetes so they can't have much sugar if any at all. I am the only one that doesn't have diabetes in my household. If any restaurant did that to my parents, we would have left after the drinks debacle. I don't even have much sugar myself because I got used to eating sugar-free things.

I say name and shame the restaurant. The only way things change when you have unresponsive management like that is when enough people have heard the horror stories.

It has been in business for several years but the problems started when they changed ownership about 10 years ago. It changed owners again so we tried to give it another try . I think that the only way that they have stayed in business this long is because of tourists and the older people around her because everyone that I've talked to has has a similar thing happen to them and have written the place off.

I wouldn't go back there. You were nice enough in explaining both times, you can't have the sugar, what more can ya do when the waitress is dense/rude. by the way, I asked my mom (And I don't know if Servers here agree) but the rudest thing besides no tip to leave behind, is a penny. It means their service wasn't worth it.
