Just a quickie that just happened in the computer shop:

Me: moi
J : head technician


Asked J to look up memory for a Toshiba Satellite. Note: Toshiba only makes laptops.

J puts a couple of pieces of memory on a box for me.

J: This one says 512mb. This one says one gigabyte.

I look at the memory, confused.

Me: These say "desktop memory".

J: Wha...

Me: Toshiba only makes laptops. I need laptop memory. (I'm also standing right in front of the Toshiba laptop running a program on it)

J: Whoops.

Me: Long week, huh?
