  • The 10 Most Important Things They Didn't Teach You In School

    Best Cracked article ever!

Yeah there's a few more things they could've put in there (as said in the comments), but courses like this would do a person so much more good than Advanced Trigcalcometry, or the current way they run Shop class and Home Ec.

My god, I love that. I would so love to see that in the curriculum~ but you know how much the parents would scream?!

Y'know, I don't think that I can really argue against any of these... although they may be able to condense them into one course called "Common Sense".

Number 3 is a pet peeve of mine, so many people don't have a clue. (Including the author, who completely neglected the fact that meat is a bloody expensive source or protein).

And number 1 isn't my pet peeve, it's my husband's. He feels that the idea of "the hardest battle you will ever have to fight is with yourself" has been responsible for ruining a lot of good movies, like the Narnia series and Lord of The Rings. (I won't deny that he's quite possibly right, although the idea that battles make for interesting movies have to take a lot of the blame too).

Well, it says that "some meats" are cheap, which is true, depending on location. Here, you can buy a decent piece of beef for a lot less than a block of tofu.

Well tofu is expensive too. I still can't get meat for less than the discount tofu (at least not anything that has more protein than fat). And I guess I've never lived far enough into ranching country. The farms around here tend to be mixed.
