Today was a typical friday workday at the shop. Was busy through out the early day, but after about 5pm was it slow.
Around my meal break time which was about 4:30pm, I noticed some local police cars and advanced unit vans setup. Around 6pm is when CW's and I notice more police activity. Not too soon afterwards did a manager come from the full line and told us we needed to close our doors and close up.
From what we were told there was some 'intel' that there would be some protesters gathering outside the mall cause of the whole BART officer police shooting trail verdict from yesterday. So they were asking people to leave the mall and stores, while they went into lockdown, for the safety of workers and the public.
So we followed by closing and locking all the doors and watched as the police guide traffic around the area. As well as we finished the last 2 customers vehicles for service, did the end of day processes and got out early.
All in all, I didn't mind since I had made my sales for the day and didn't mind leaving an hour early since it was already slow towards the end
