I just got done with two blissful days off from work, went back tonight, and wow did all hell break lose while I was gone! First, our cappuccino machine decided to become a waterfall the other night. We don't know how or why, but water started coming out of the base of it, and the side, in what coworker J described as "a waterfall". It took the ShopVac to clean all the (boiling hot) water up. Now we have no coffee or cappuccino until whatever broke gets fixed. The big news, though, was that coworker S got fired! Apparently, she was stupid enough to steal lottery scratchers, whilst I was in the bathrooms cleaning, when she was on camera! There are no less than 5 or 6 cameras trained on the front register. She knew this. What made me mad was that, not only was it on my shift, but she apparently tried telling her family that I told her she could take them, and pay later. I never said and never would say anything like that, since it is utterly false. Lying and blaming other people is a sh*tty way to get out of things, and it doesn't work! I swear, I leave my coworkers alone for 2 days...Eesh!
