A couple of notes:
1: Yes. I'm calling a women a bitch. I try not to use that word often. But I'm calling this women a bitch.
2: This deals with a very close friend of mine, that is going through a sex change.
I've known G for many years, like at least 13 years. She worked with my mom for many years, and was the husband of my own best friend's mom. (Which strangly enough, isn't how we met. But I posted that story before in a different thread how that all happened).
We all knew she was bi. But she recently came out as gay, and was in fact a women and not a man. So she is going through a sex change. (Full transformation).
G is still the great person she always was. She still does what she can to help others. She still plays video games (and can kick anyone ass). She still the kind hearted person she is. She is also not bad looking, and while she isn't full women yet, when she dresses up, it's hard to tell kinda.
Today she just dressed kinda casually, and even though she's had laser removal on her face, sometimes small traces of her beard shows. We went to happy hour, and she took me to see Inception. (My.... God... I loved that movie).
Most of the day was fine. The movie play though. gah. We got the ticket from a guy who ether didn't realize G's gender, Didn't care G's gender, or did care but was polite enough not to do anything.
We get to the concession stands. Some people stare, but smile or just ignore it.
We step up to get some soda and candy. The lady turned and looekd at G, and frowned. She looked utterly disgusted.
WORKER: ug... one moment. I'm on break now. Someone else needs to help you.
She backs away.
Another helper helped, saying sorry and even gave us a free soda.
As we were walking to the movie, that lady worker went right back to work to helping the next customer behind us.
Look. I understand there are alot of people that are disgusted by the idea of people becoming different genders. I don't get why, it's not like it's contagious, or that they are going to kidnap you and skin you, or turn you into a sex fiend, they're are just people trying to live their lives as best as they can, and trying to pursude their happiness.
After the movie, she told me that C, another friend of mine and considered my other friend his brother, finally called G back after months of ignoring texts, calls, emails and everything from G. C told her what she knew was going to happen as it already happened to alot.
Didn't matter that G took C in plenty of times.
Didn't matter that it was G that was the only one to help C when he was in the hosptial fighting cancer, when C's own family abandoned him to die there.
Didn't matter that G always invited C and his GF over for every holiday so that they wouldn't be alone, and would even buy presents for them on christmas. (And not cheap, crap presents ether, but real good, useful, or even expesnive and cool presents).
Didn't matter that G helped C get not one, not two, BUT THREE DIFFERENT Jobs over their years of friendship.
Nope. Took much for C. It is understandable I guess. But gah. I feel disgusted by that shithead, and I'n pretty pissed at him right now. G was there for C more often then anyone else in his life. (This is from C's mouth, not G in case people are thinkign that).
Anyway. I'll stop rambling. Gave G a hug, and let her know that I find her a beautiful women and that I'll always be her friend.
