  • EXTREME drunk driver busted again

Extreme in that his BAC this time was only .586!!!!!

I can't wrap my brain around this. He was busted about a month ago around here and it was at .33!

Now....I've heard of people dying of alcohol poisoning from just having a .3.

This guy is way over that and, judging from his mugshot photo, he's really not that sauced.

conditioning. your body can get used to crazy amounts of things. i remember hearing somewhere a woman addicted to vicodin was taking something like 20x the fatal dosage. When she checked into rehab, no one wanted to give her the vicodin as they weaned her off because it was SO MUCH

When I lived in Highlands NJ there was a report of a man who passed out in front of the Bootlegger (does anyone know how to make a Holy Bartender? Anyone?) into a snowbank.

Their BAC was close to that level. What saved him? The cold. I guess it prevented the alcohol from affecting his body in a lethal way as he was passed out on / in the snowbank for hours.

But wait, wouldn't you freeze to death?

Nope, there was so much alcohol in his blood that it lowered the freezing temperature of his blood and prevented it from freezing.

Two lethal situations canceling themselves out?

i nominate the suggestion that ... his brain already is dead

since he apparently thought it was a good time to drive.

Good god! SO is a big guy and I doubt that he would still be able to live with that amount of alcohol in his body like that guy!

A woman in Wisconsin was on to her 11th or 13th DUI last year. (Can't remember but I know it was an odd number over 10).

...and this is why some countries are introducing laws that require breathalyser ignition locks on cars owned by convicted drunk drivers.

This kind of thing just boggles the mind!!! I get too tipsy to drive with just two drinks, let alone how much it must have taken to get a BAC of that level!!!
