  • 6 month old laptop having issues..

Ok, so i bought a new laptop about 4 months ago from Wal-mart. I like Acers.. i've used their products a lot and it had what i wanted so i convinced my grandma to buy it for me since my toshiba had just died. I get it running and it works fine for about 3 months.. then it refused to turn on.. no lights.. nothing.. it was still under warranty so i sent it into acer to get it fixed.

2 weeks after getting it back it starts doing this funny thing where it would turn off randomly and then a white screen would come up and i'd have to unplug the power cord, take out the battery and put that all back together and finally it up and died again. I sent it back to acer and they sent it back and said that it was user damage and it was no longer under warranty. So now i'm stuck with a laptop that i have no idea whats wrong with it and it doesn't work.

    any suggestions?

whoops put the wrong month in the title..

How do they know its user damage?

Have you done anythign like spill things on it? You think you may have damaged it, at all?

So, if not, call them again and state your case, and escalate to Tier 2 if needed.

Once that's documented, you can send a letter to them, saying "I'm displeased w/ your customer service"

Or can you take it to a local pc shop? Have you had dust blown out, checked fans?
