  • I can see the SC's a comin'

Went to Wally World the other day to do some Christmas shopping, and saw a couple of shirts I thought I might want to buy.

So I take them to the fitting room, and the csr asks me to leave my stuff (didn't have a cart, carrying everything by hand) at his desk and gives me the tag for the door.

The shirts didn't fit. When I went back out, I noticed I didn't see the rack for hanging clothing that are usually there (this Wally World remodeled recently), so I asked the CSR, "where do I leave the clothes? They don't fit."

CSR: We're actually asking customers to put them back where they found them.
    Me: OK.

I concealed my surprise as it really wasn't an unreasonable request, and put them back where I'd gotten them. But it's only a matter of time before some EW throws a fit about being asked to do a clerk's job, or for SC's to be leaving clothing all over the store.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.

Hmm... I have enough trouble getting them to hand me the stuff (that they suddenly decided not to purchase) rather than leave it on the end of the till to confuse the next person or, if its busy, the one a few after that.
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi

Some moron in management is probably thinking this will save time.

I predict that it will make MORE work...because people will just leave the stuff wherever.

You gotta wonder about people who make these kinds of decisions...

Somebody in management is quite the optimist.

they do this already; cheese next to the paint, milk in the crafts aisle, fabric next to the bread. god forbid if they took it back themselves or handed it to the cashier. no no no; this is like an easter egg hunt and you know how much employees LOVE easter egg hunts.
          look! it's ghengis khan!
Sorry, but while I can do many things, extracting heads from anuses isn't one of them. (so sayeth the irv)

Hehe think you may be a bit optimistic there. Heaven forbid somebody at corporate admit they might have been wrong....

As for the OP, your first mistake was going shopping at Wally World (Me, bitter? Never! ). It's secretly the portal to the Abyss .

Weirdest thing I've found in the strangest place? A jar of half eaten peanut butter in Furniture. It was inside one of the drawers of a desk. The only reason it was discovered was we had to move the desk, so we took the drawers out to make it a bit lighter. One can only guess....

I hardly ever shop at Wally World. I hate the crowds of SCs and EW's that abound there, and there are only a handful of things I buy there. I shop there on my own maybe 2-3 times a year, any other time I'm just tagging along with EE to keep her company.

My most recent trip was made solely because we'd had ice and freezing rain that day. The stores were open, but I was opening the SCs would be in short supply.

They actually were, for the most part. Though I did overhead another customer complaining on his cell phone about the moron who was speeding across the parking lot, nearly took out three cars, and then parked in a handicapped spot (no tag).

The problem is, whenever I pick out stuff to try on, especially if I grab four or five things from different racks, I cannot remember where I got the stuff. So I'd be wandering around for ten minutes and then finally just dump the stuff off any old place. It seems to make much more sense to have the employees return the clothes, because they know exactly where everything goes...I doubt too many shoppers are going to remember exactly which rack they picked up all their items from, or else they will just be too lazy to care.

I just figure that there will be even more piles of clothes in the fitting rooms.
