  • Best idea for my phone yet...

As most people do, I have various ring tones on my phone, including certain ringers for certain people.

I recently downloaded a new ring tone that I use for all unknown numbers. The ring tone? Men at Work's "Who Can It Be Now?"

Yeah, I hear that song and know that it's a call I don't need to bother with.

I watched the first episode of a new show called Fairly Legal. (It's okay, but not my thing.) The best part was that she had ringtones from The Wizard of Oz for different people. Her stepmother's ringtone was the Wicked Witch's music. Her ex was either the Scarecrow or the Tin Man. Anyway, I thought it was a great themed series.

I wish I could do that, but the LG Rumor 2 had the ability to upload custom ringtones deliberately removed

Amusing, as I have done similarly. My older sister's ringtone is the Imperial March (i.e., Darth Vader's theme). My ex-girlfriend's ringtone was E.L.O.'s "Evil Woman" when she was still in my phone.

I find that an interesting statement, since my phone happens to be an LG Rumor 2.

              Maybe it's a Sprint thing?

It might be. I have Sprint, and while I have never had trouble downloading custom ringers in the past, the latest batch I found on myxer.com.

I just had a thought....for my coworkers at The Bar, I need a ringtone. Preferably something about drinking, better if it's about rum, since that is what we specialize in. Any suggestions?

Oh, are you buying them from Sprint? I can do that but I meant loading them from my computer.

Before the current batch, I'm pretty sure I purchase all of my ring tones from Sprint's store directly through my phone.

For coworkers, perhaps a version of Drunken Sailor or Whiskey in a Jar? I know it's not RUM, but those are the ones I can think of.

Country music and MY phone? Oh, HELL no!

"Margaritaville," might work...except for the fact that the original Margaritaville is actually a bar here in KW, and thus our competitor. A local musician has a great song called "A Bottle of Rum" that would work, but as he is a local musician, bloody unlikely that it would be available as a ring tone.

Some (non-country) song about beer, rum, a bar, or drinking.

By the way, anyone who suggests Toby Keith's "Tourist Town Bar" gets punched right in the kisser. Not only is it country music, but Keith is a personality-less douchebag who stole the idea for that song from a local musical legend who I happen to admire. And he drinks Mich Ultras with salt in them. Or he did when I had a beer with him. Total tool.
