What would have happened if the Nazis escaped to the Moon after World War II? The space fascists thrive and one day return to attack Earth, according to a fan-backed “science fiction black comedy” film set for release in 2012.

... maybe. Both are depressing, well ID less so but still... and I can't handle that sort of MAJOR catastrophe type stuff, like Book of Eli, etc....
Anyway ... they totally call the Nazi thing,

"When things are meant to be really evil in science fiction films, then characters who look and speak like Nazis crop up. The best example for this is Star Wars,” director Vuorensola told German broadcaster 3Sat in a recent interview. “We wanted to really push it...and see what happens.”

and, as tvtropes dot com says, in many different articles, from Godwin's Law to Those Wacky Nazis to Stupid Jetpack Hitler (and oh so much more!)... Nazis are everywhere as the default/ 'natural' villain.
Maybe I will watch it... It looks so slick, and I'm very, very picky about my cinematography, history, historical accuracy (props especially), alt-hist...
Although, if the pigeon was anything to go by!

It'll probably turn out to be more like "Mars Attacks!" than "Independance Day"... but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
