My Daughter just called. She is in the ER with my 15 month old Grandson Bug. He has been sick for the last two weeks and he is now dehydrated. Please keep them in your prayers. He is such a precious little boy

Poor thing. My babies each had their turn in the hospital, one with dehydration (was sick and could NOT get him to drink, they had to give him an IV).

Update on Bug. They are still in the ER. They are giving him fluids and meds to calm his stomache. It has been a long night on his parents.

Update on Bug. They are still in the ER. They are giving him fluids and meds to calm his stomache. It has been a long night on his parents.

Let me add my thoughts and prayers along with everyone else.

Some suggestions for when he gets home.

No dairy for awhile. It will upset his stomach.

Ginger ale and purple (not white) grape juice are great for an upset stomach. Water the grape juice down if it is too tart.

Pedialyte half and half with apple juice usually goes over well with kids. The Pedialyte popsicles, especially the grape flavored ones, are usually popular with kids.

If the kid is still has trouble, give fluids a tablespoon at a time, every 15 minutes. Most kids can handle that.

Work up to a BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast) when he is drinking regularly again, as tolerated.

Update on Bug

Bug, Mommy and Daddy are all home and resting. If Bug does not get sick again tonight they will start a BRAT diet in the morning

Sending love and best thoughts to Bug and his family. I will never forget how I felt when my boy was hospitalized when he was 5 weeks old, I never felt so terrified and helpless in my life.
Hope the little one gets better very soon.

Bug Update

Bug is doing better. He has Bronchitis, Double Ear infections and a stomache virus. Here is a picture Daughter took of Bug when they got home yesterday.
