Hell hath no wrath
The past few months I have been helping my friend Pinky plan her wedding. She was engaged to this, seemingly, sweet guy Koch. I was really happy. We discussed venue, how I would be the MC, briedesmaid dresses, center pieces, the whole nine yards. It was really exciting. Moreso, Koch and Pinky seemed so very happy together, which they deserved.
See Koch and Pinky met at their university, and fell in love. Classic, right? Sadly, when Koch told his parents they freaked out, pulled him out a university, and dragged him back to Calgary. Still, we all worked really hard to make sure that when the big day came it was awesome. Those two lovebirds deserved it.
Especially Pinky.
Pinky is a really sweet girl, but she has a lot of issues. She used to be anorexic, and now she has severe depression. She dropped almost all her university classes, but one. Plus she is changing schools after this year. All of this, on top of her issues with Koch's parents were really worrying to me. I just wanted to make sure that Pinky was happy, and healthy. All of her friends are very protective of her, which is why I want to kill Koch.
Yesterday, Pinky posted on her Wedding Planning webpage that the wedding is off. Apparently, Koch talked to his Meth addicted cousin who helped him "see the light". He called up Pinky and told her that he's "not sure if he loves her." Then he broke off their engagement, and dumped her. I was fully prepared to hop on a plane and kick that stupid boys arse from there to here and back again.
I called Pinky first to check on her. Fragile creature she is, I thought she would be on the verge of doing something stupid. Interestingly enough, she isn't sad about the engagement ending, she's just pissed off. Which is understandable. Koch has put her through a lot of BS in their relationship. His parents disapproval of them, his heading back to Calgary, him not talking to her when he is at his parents house, etc.
As pissed as I am, I feel a little better knowing that Pinky isn't spiraling. Still, I really want to find that boy and show him what I do to people who screw with the emotions of my friends.
