For those of you that work in the Houston Texas based area Kroger stores, if any haven't gotten a warning yet about the coupon policy change that is being implemented in all Houston area Kroger stores effective April 13th, 2011.
Kroger is stopping the doubling and tripling of coupons in their stores as well as coupon stacking (i.e. ecoupons that stacks with paper coupons). This announcement about the change is causing a huge reaction from couponers on the Facebook as well as across the board on coupon blogger/vblogger websites.
Already there's FB Groups popping up, getting people to form an organized protest in the policy change and letters have already been sent out to all of the Kroger chain stores in the entire Houston areas as well as the surrounding subdivision areas. The coupon bloggers and vbloggers is doing the same.
I just thought I warn you guys ahead of time that there's gonna be a major backlash of sucky customers screaming at the top of their lungs about the policy change when they discover it at the last minute before or after they read their receipts.
So what started all this? A TV program from The Learning Channel called "Extreme Couponing" is what's causing companies like Kroger to have a panic attack and implementing the policy change. Basically the change is a test pilot for their Houston based stores to see how well this policy works out and the reaction they'll be receiving from the customers. Personally I doubt this policy is gonna stick, not with the kind of reaction that the stores will be getting from the customers.
I don't have anything against couponing, I use them myself. But the show in of itself. It's making the rest of honest couponers look like crap and I hate that show. So does the rest of the honest couponers who are bitching on the blogs/vblogs and well as the coupon forums. They all agree the show is about the dumbest thing ever aired.
So be prepared guys, this ain't gonna end well......

Btw, the reason I am posting here is because, rightly so, that this new policy will generate alot of sucky customers. Plus to move this thread to "Check It Out", I've noticed doesn't garner enough attention as the attention from the Sucky Customers section does and I do want more peeps from the Houston area to be more aware of it and to warn their fellow employees. I don't think all employees at Kroger is gonna take notice on the notice boards in or near the break rooms.
So, I'm just warning you guys, there's gonna be alot of irate customers and I sure would hate to be in your shoes.
