  • They broke my heart...

Here is a recent email correspondence that pretty much speaks for itself. I'm copying and pasting. Important piece of background information: our roof is leaking, causing the ceiling to sag in one of the rooms.

    Someone will be there Friday.

Nobody showed up to fix our roof today. We are sad and depressed that we were stood up. We were so excited that someone was coming to bring us salvation from our roofing woes, but as the day wore on, our excitement gradually turned to disappointment, and then utter despondency. We are sad and heartbroken. Though if they do show up early next week, there may be room in our hearts for forgiveness...

Awwwww, such a beautifully worded email you wrote. Boss Man's Boss clearly missed the point.
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.

However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Someone needs to grow a sense of humor. Meanwhile, I can amuse myself writing your reply:

Thank you, I do need a life. Specifically, I need a life a a lawyer. Because if our roof is not repaired by noon on Wednesday, April 13, a copy of our maintenance contract is going to be forwarded to our corporate lawers.

But we don't because lots of it's disgusting.
