Anyone else read this fantastic series?

I have, I was stuck for the longest time with just the 3rd book, but now i have them all, and not just that, there's an 8th book on the way as well as a live action film!

I've read the entire series. Stephen King is set to release an all new Dark Tower book. It's to be called "The Wind Through The Keyhole". It'll be released in 2012.
Some have said that Dark Tower 7 was a big let-down but I loved it. My favorite book is "The Drawing of the Three". ( Dark Tower 2).

I read them all. I felt Stephen cheated with the last book. Hopefully the next book will make up for it.

I thought it was clever the way he ended Dark Tower 7.

I thought the way Book 7 truly ended just felt right and not entirely unexpected really. He did warn you to stop reading just before the true ending though.

My favourite one is Drawing of the Three too, though Wolves of the Calla, is pretty awesome too

That's.... kind of too bad, in a way. I loved the mystery of ending. I know a LOT of people hated it, but really, if you think about it, there was no other way for it to end. It was "right," whether you liked it or not.

I'll withhold judgment until I read it, I just think it should have been left as-is.

Also, they're making movies of the Dark Tower. 3 full-length films and a 2-season TV series. I'm expecting it to suck hard. I lost all hope in film adaptations of King's work a long time ago, and I really, really think trying to adapt the Dark Tower series is a terrible idea. There is no way, NO WAY, they can accurately convey the futuristic/fantasy setting of Mid-World properly, and there are a lot of things that left die-hard fans scratching their heads, and those are the things that Hollywood doesn't like. Plus I fully expect them to alter the ending in favor of a "happy" ending instead. But that defeats the purpose of the entire thing. It was Roland's obsession with reaching the Tower that led to all the pain and misery that surrounded him and his Ka-Tet. He had many, many chances to just walk away but he couldn't do it. And that's why the ending is fitting. He was cursed from the moment he set out for the Tower, and by the end everyone but him realized it.

Yeah, I'm kind of a fangirl.
