Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

Had to post this here, as I know there are several Harry Potter fans here.

This is a fanfic, based on a universe similar to, but with interesting divergences from, the Harry Potter mythos. The divergence is apparent from the very beginning, and while it might not be to your taste, if you aren't entirely ignorant about science and philosophy... Well, first off, DO NOT EAT OR DRINK WHILE READING THIS, OR YOU WILL RUIN YOUR KEYBOARD. Second, make sure you have lots of free time when you start, because there are 71 chapters so far and I wasn't able to stop reading until I hit the end.

Just to warn everyone: this is up there in quality-- but just to warn people who get sucked in by stuff... there's actually a decent chunk of fanfic out there for Harry Potter that's actually amazing-- as in I would totally pay for it (if it wasn't what it was...)-- and this particular fic in my regards isn't one I've lusted after updates for.
(But yes... it's not all "My Immortal." I promise)
