  • RIP "Macho Man" Randy Savage

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/20...=entertainment

I was never a fan of wrestling, but in the late 80's it was impossible to not know who he was. His antics always made me smile. I remember channel surfing one night in high school and seeing Hulk Hogan beating him over the head with a Slim Jim in a match.

        R.I.P. "Macho Man" Randy Savage

*MOD EDIT - Merged duplicate threads.

Heard about this first via Twitter, as I follow various wrestlers on it. And I know we have some wrestling fans here.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage died today in Tampa in a car accident.

I'm posting this from my phone, so I don't have relevant links or whatnot handy.

        R.I.P. Bonesaw.

I am very shocked right now. The 'second wave' of pro wrestling that I started watching had Savage front and centre. He was more than just a wrestler in the ring, he was a force of nature.

Really, I am at a loss for words...

Best wishes to his brother Lanny and the rest of their family.

Last year, their father Angelo Poffo passed away... and in 2003, "Miss Elizabeth" Hulette died as well...
