LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln police are searching for a person who smeared feces in a motel room.
The Lincoln Journal-Star reports that the vandalism at a local Motel 6 caused about $3,500 in damage.
The newspaper says employees discovered the mess on Saturday, in Room 131, after guests complained about an odor. Employees found curtains, a table and a counter in the room covered with feces.
The newspaper says the last occupant, who stayed from June 22 through June 29, checked in with three cats.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs told the newspaper the feces appeared too big to have come from a cat.
