So, the bosslady had all of the light fixtures in the building replaced with new, less power-hungry fixtures and bulbs. The resulting light is far more blue and less yellow than the previous and people are all sorts of whiny about it.
We're using half the bulbs in the long tube fixtures, and the same number in the u-bend tube fixtures.
Some people are determined to hate them. I, personally, find that they have a far more natural color to them than the yellow-ish office fluorescents we had in before. So while they whine and cry about them, I'm trying to find out the color temperature to figure out if they're actually better or worse than the crap we had in here before.
It'll be interesting to learn what range we're now using. If it's nice and high, I'm going to do what I can to educate my fellow co-irkers, but I doubt they'll bother to listen. They'd much rather whine about stupid stuff than actually be right.
