  • For the kiddies and the young at heart!

I'd been listening to the radio on the drive home and this ad for Peter Coombe came on. He's basically a children's entertainer, but his songs were like the standard primary school soundtrack when I was growing up.
What's funny is that he's back in Adelaide and performing at a nightclub. What's even funnier is that he's been performing for adults the same old songs that I've put here, instead of more adult material.

"Wash Your Face In Orange Juice"

    Newspaper Mama

    Toffee Apple

    Juicy Juicy Green Grass

Bear in mind these clips were in late 80's in some cases, so they may look a bit strange.

And they are still epic as always.

      Gah!

My younger sister managed to go to one of his nightclub appearances when he was in Perth last time. I was so jealous. She showed me pictures and everyone was wearing newspaper hats.

I remember watching his videos when I was a kid.
And I still randomly quotes him, especially if anyone comments on how hot it is ("It's so hot today, 40 degrees in the shade, pour me some lemonade, how 'bout a trip to the pool, then we can make ourselves cool")

And I still love the line "A bellyflop in a pizza? Eww, yuck!". I don't even really know why.

I remember hearing "Wash Your Face In Orange Juice" (aka Mr. Clickety Cane) on a few occasions at school. One of the classes at a school assembly sang "Newspaper Mama"
