  • Any graphic designers out there?

I make my own Habanero hot sauce. Right now I am just giving it away to friends and family but next year I plan on expanding my operation and selling it on a limited basis. I am looking for someone to design me a label for my bottles. All I am looking for is a basic label with my company name (Berthelot's Pepper Sauces), sauce name (Hurtin' Habanero) and a logo (a Habanero pepper shaped like the state of Louisiana).

If anyone here can do a basic label at a really reasonable price I would like to hear from you. And I will send you plenty of free sauce.

I'd be interested in giving it a shot. Will send you a PM with more info.

Rule number one of advertising and marketing: never make it "basic." I have seen so many hot sauces with labels that look so amateurish that I don't even bother with them, and honestly, they may be killer sauces for all I know. On the flip side, I have tried more than one rum or beer or wine that was well-packaged but that sucked ass. But my point is, I DID try those particular products.

It doesn't have to be super fancy, but it should be well done and eye-catching.

I know you have already received one offer on here, but I will throw another graphic artist's hat into the ring: my little sister. Now, you'd have to be able to pay her electronically (she lives in England), and I can't guarantee she'd do it, but she does have a side graphic arts business in addition to her regular job, so it is a possibility. Also, she would not want any sauce, as she doesn't (can't) do spicy stuff. (I, on the other hand, would be interested in trying your sauce at some point, whether or not it was part of the deal with Lil Sis, if you struck such a deal.)

Let me know what you think.

And never, ever, EVER think "just basic."
