It is no funday.
Just another run day.
Came in for my shift this morning at 5 to find three carts of returns shoved down one of the checklanes.
Also a ton of expired ad signs left up from last night. Just about the entire furniture department had all the old signs up yet, and we were pulling down others throughout the store.
This is because the salesfloor was left in the care of two n00bs who've worked maybe five shifts between the two of them. And for whatever reason everybody and their brother decided to go shopping after I left last night. There were still customers in the store at quarter after nine last night; we close at nine. The closing team didn't get out until 9:30.
So ad takedown really didn't happen, and nobody picked up returns even though the service desk called 7 times.
Also we were short a person this morning because the salesfloor supervisor was scheduled to open on the hourly schedule, but also scheduled to close on the management schedule. This is at least the second time this has happened. So we had just three people to set the new ad and pull and fill the 360 SKUs in autopull this morning.
And that's all we got done today. We didn't get to anything else on our list. These weekends will be the death of me.
