  • This Bunny is full of FAIL

Last night: Bad dream in which I was dumped...
This Morning: Having to wait on dryers when I do a massive load of laundry with ALL of my clothing sans what I'm wearing...
Later in the Morning: Flat Tire, bought new one with food money for the next two weeks
    Afternoon: Awesome Baby Shower
    Evening: Awesome dinner with Mom
After Dinner: Car was repo'd... Due date Oct 28th, sent out payment by check Oct 23rd, check has no cleared. No notification check hasn't made it's way to the finance company... Why didn't I know this sooner? Only thing that was coming out of my account and I was away visiting the boyfriend for a couple days...

So yea...shun the Bunny cause the Bunny is fail

Didn't mean to actually get shunned...so yea...not feeling any love.

Hopefully picking up the car tonight after a 350 tow fee...just add that to the 35 stop payment fee and the 13.00 over the phone fee, and most likely a 30.00 fee for touching my stuff in the car.

But yea....that's only if I can find a way to get to the car.

Indeed, Lupo has it right. It's not you that sucks, just stuff going on. Hang in there.

          *snugs Lupo and Kittesh* Thanks...

UPDATE: I haz my stuffs...after 40 bucks to get it back.

My car was cleaned out and made "auction ready" according to the place that towed it. Cause they had orders from the finance company they wanted it in the next auction...which is in two days.

BUT with the help of Momma Bunny, this Bunny was able to pay all the fines and cover the cost of the MIA check. So the car is supposed to come back to me.

So easy the car is going to Lansing MI from Grand Rapids MI, a two hour trip in BAD Horrible no good weather...it's been FOUR hours and there is no sign of my car anywhere.

Now the thought running through my mind is someone bought my car and that I've lost my blue beast. *cries*

Hang on, they can repo your car without any notification whatsoever?

Other than that, keep us updated?

That is my question also!! Usually finance companies give you a grace period, in our case we get ten days before a late charge and another 20 days before they report to the credit agency that we were late, then they start the repo process! That is not good on your part! I can't believe they did not contact you!

                  Tired and emotionally drained but...

According to the State of MI website they do NOT have to give notice and can repo up to one day late. But I don't know the ins and outs of everything.

They said they sent me a letter that I refused, I don't recall getting anything to refuse. They also said that called me several time...but I can pull up my record and prove I didn't get a single call from them. So frankly I'm more then a bit pissed but at the same time I just want my car back and put this behind me. Except now I have a repo on my credit...*sniffs* And it's another black mark against me maybe one day marrying the man I love cause my credit history could affect his security clearances.

I need to go curl back up...not strong enough mentally right now to stay awake.

Okay Update and kind of a conclusion...

Had a LONG talk with a very nice lady who went through everything on the computer screen in front of her. And she even commented that she and I had talked before, infact she had taken my last payment when I needed to call one in cause payday fell ON the due date.

She mummered on how in three days I had called over 20 times.
Mummered on how I wasn't being treated right and left in the dark.
And then told me what my new fee's were I was to pay. On top of everything else and I had to pay MORE. But she did get some of those reduced so...yea...

244 more dollars...was going to be split up over 5 payments. The only problem is I only have three payments left to go. Thats right ladies and gents, I got repo'd with only 3 more payments left. My car is worth of 5K...the payoff is 1200. So she moved my next due date to the 9th and assured me with her own personal line number that I would not be repo'd again before then. I want to fully believe her but somehow still can't. Every night I wake up and look outside to see if my car is still there. And I know that my anxitiy over this has got to be doing a number on the BF.

I have my car back...that whole line about being auction ready? Yea that was a bunch of baloney. I lost $1 and $2 dollar coins from Australia, $2 coin from Canada that was a silver rim and gold-ish interior, a couple pesos from Mexico, and a couple weird coins from Germany and England. I am also missing three DS games, one which was a gift and I hadn't started playing and the other from GameFly that I now have to pay for. I am also missing something a bit more important...my BF gave me a pin...and really it's a small pin. Only says "I Love my Airman" on it but dangit...it was from HIM that makes it SPECIAL. Also and I dont know if they took it or if I just haven't found it in the bag they threw some of my stuff but Mom's handicap tag hasn't been located yet. And Momma Bunny is PISSED as well as ready to press theft charges.

The paperwork I was given stated that all open containers containing liquid would be tossed... So the only thing they toss? A $70 un opened bottle of enzyme cleaner to try and salavage my carpets from a sick puppy who left stains. The unopened bottle of strawberry milk? Opened and then left on it's side in the backseat, icky milk mess, glad it's been cold out. The gatoraid bottle? The one that was never opened? Half gone and was wedged under the back seat. My Mom's cd gift that had been unopened, the cd is in the player, no jewel case tho. Oh and I have a lovely "sweet" smell that a couple of my neighbors love and makes me sneeze. Only thing sweet I know that makes me sneeze like that...mary jane. (BTW I dont have a sense of smell, I just know what I've been told.)

Oh and in the middle of my back seat from who knows what...a big orange stain. The place I took my car too said it would start at 149 to detail it. And he doesn't know if he can get the stain out or not.

So yea...I'm being told to press charges and if I had the money to retain a lawyer I would. But I don't...Lost stuff + Fee's + Fine's = OVER 1K. I'm broke, I'm eating rice and beans for Thanksgiving alone, and hoping to sometime soon push this behind me.

Something fishy is definitely going on over there. It *could* be one or two bad employees - if so, and if the company is at all reputable, they will want to know and sort it out. Also possible is that the company as a whole is shady and the lady you talked to is the lone sane voice in the wilderness. Hard to tell from the outside.

There should be some things you can do without needing (much) money up front. In the UK, I would start by writing a strongly worded letter - politely outraged, of course - to their published head office address, demanding to know WTF is going on and where the rest of your stuff (as an itemised list) is. Registered delivery tends to get their attention and gives you proof that they've received it. If that failed to get a reasonable response (UK practice generally assumes 14 days is a reasonable time to wait), it would be time to get legal.

You could try to find out whether other people have had a similar problem with the same company. Google is your friend for that one. You might get a support group out of it, or just evidence that a lawyer might be interested in. Maybe a sufficiently intrigued lawyer might go pro bono?

(BTW, the bimetallic coins used for high denominations in Canada are very similar to ones used for the same purpose in Britain and Europe now. One part is brass, the other is an ordinary nickel alloy as used for other "silver" coins. Brass is also used for the £1 coin.)

Actually I do think she's the only sane voice. I talked to about a dozen different people. She was the only one who didn't just transfer me, didn't throw me back into the queue, didn't put me on hold for a half hour... Their CSR's...SUCK.

Here in the US that would be called a certified return receipt. We do have a form of a registered letter but it costs more and you still need to pay extra to get the return receipt.

Google has told me plenty of horror stories already and some of them scare me more into not doing anything. I'm so close to being free from this company. So close to finally having no car payment that I can fricken taste it. And I'm wussing out on being mean because of that. Fail...I know.

The coins I had were all from 97-01. Good luck coins now...A treat from a cousin going south out of the country the first time, a boyfriend studying in England who took a trip to Germany for chocolate, my first trip with no adults to Canada where I got to go to Stratford. The Aussie coins from my first time on a plane to the first time off my home continent. So yea...memories.

See if your local paper/tv news station has an on-your-side segment and let them know about your stuff being stolen.
