  • googlefu is weak...

so I was cleaning out my closet the other day and came across a rather heavy bag....

opening it, I found my collection of rough semiprecious stones.

    and I can't find a lapidary!!!!!

    anyone able to suggest one?

If I am not mistaken, a lapidary is one who can assess the value of the stones, yes?

If so, you can probably go to most jewelers for such a service.

Either way, I would think you would want a lapidary in your area, and to advise you on that, we would kinda need to know where your area IS.

a lapidary is one who handles stones to cut and polish.

and I'm in the North East TN area.

small Wonders Lapidary is in church hill TN(704 river road), largest city nearby is kingsport.

And there are 6 lapidary clubs in TN, located in Hartford, Memphis, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and knoxville(the sixth is at small wonders in church hill)
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes
