  • Parking office staff being bitchy this morning

I do not know what was in the water today or if this was due to the full moon, but the parking office staff was being bitchy this morning.

I get a phone call from Nancy *not her real name* at the parking office telling me that there is a customer driving around in circles inside visitor parking & to help that customer. She then asked me if the garage was full. There was a university employee standing next to the entrance gate directing guests arriving for an event sponsored by the President's office.

So I go into visitor parking to see if there was a car driving around in circles. Visitor parking was not full, & no, I did not see a single car driving around in circles inside Visitor parking.

I asked the university employee at the entrance gate if he saw a car driving around in circles inside visitor parking. I tell him I received a call from the parking office stating that there is a car driving around in circles inside visitor parking. He looks at me confused & says "no, I have not seen a car driving around in circles inside visitor parking. I have seen several cars parking in visitor parking." So I go back inside the visitor parking booth, & I call the parking office. Nancy answers the phone. Here is what happened.

    Nancy: "Parking office"
me: "I went inside Visitor parking, & there is no-one driving around in circles. There is a person standing at the entrance gate directing guests here for an event at the President's office, & he has seen visitors being able to park in visitor parking."
Nancy *now irritated*: "Well...the H.R. dept. called us & told us that there was a guest of theirs diving around in circles & that the guest called them because he could not find a parking spot."

Several minutes later one of the President's office guests had to exit, but their token would not work. So I go outside to see what the problem was. The person standing next to the gate told me there were tokens stuck in the slot at the exit gate. I called the parking office. Here is what happened.

    Nancy: "Yes, snugglegirl05"
me: "There are tokens stuck in the slot at the exit gate."
Nancy *in a bitchy tone of voice*: "Of course there are, we know that happens."

    She hung up the phone.

I know that CS doesn't condone violence, but damn if your parking office doesn't make me want to break that rule. I'm sorry you're stuck with such losers.

The place may as well be a madhouse.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

And I fear that if snugglegirl doesn't get out of there soon she's going to become one of the permanent inmates That place is just toxic through and through.
