  • More Creepy Happenings

More creepy things at work(and one from my house) Went down to the cafeteria at the north side of my building(it's a really big warehouse) Got a water bottle from the machine, put it on the table and turned to get some chips when I felt like someone was staring at me. Mind you this is at about 9pm and everybody is in the warehouse part(which is through 2 set of doors, one with a buzzer that goes off when people exit) I turned around to see what was going on when this chair at one of the tables goes sliding about 5-10feet across the floor and spins around to face me. I tell you I have never run so fast in all my days. Left my water sitting on the table and had to go back for it.

Sitting at our front desk on a Saturday(warehouse is closed on weekends) it was just me and D and he was at our truck lot. In the office behind me, I heard something slam against the wall then heard a loud moan. Freaky yes but tis my job to sit there so I can't very well run off. I ignored that. Mistake. About 5 min later I heard loud footsteps starting from the breakroom at the end of the hallway. Again note that there is NOBODY back there since we're closed down. They got closer and closer to the desk. When they got to a point where another couple steps would take them into view they stopped. I tried to ignore that, telling myself don't look don't look don't look! Suddenly 2 of the cameras on my camera bank spaz out and start spinning. Right after that something black smashed into the outside window to my left(this is broad daylight was about 3pm or so) I leapt up and went running outside to see what it was but saw nothing. No dead birds, no person nuttin nadda nope. I went back inside and sat down.

The footsteps started up right away and went back down the hallway into the breakroom whereupon I heard the chainlink gate that closes the kitchen start crashing around and rattling. Went down to see what it was and it had been wrenched open. There is an alarm on that gate, I have no idea why it didn't go off. As I walked back down the hallway I passed by the darkened locker room(not a room really it's open) I looked down one of the rows for some reason and heard a very deep very loud growl. I ran back to my nice well lit desk area and refused to leave it for the rest of the night, even for the bathroom.

Now for the one at my house. This one really scared me. I was sitting at my pc desk, I'm the only one home besides my cat, Moka, and my parents two cats, Scamper and Nosey. As i was surfing cs.com I heard a woman humming. It was coming through the floor vent in my room that leads to the basement. I am the only (human)female in the house at the time(whoever it was is a damn fine hummer, I give her that) Moka is lying on my bed staring at the vent. The humming keeps going on for awhile when Moka leaps off my bed and runs to the basement stairs. I walk partway out of my room and can see Scamper and Nosey staring at the stairs from the kitchen. Moka looks down the stairs, growls a bit, looks at me and meows then looks back and forth between me and the stairs. I looked at Moka and said "F**k that, my ass ain't going anywhere NEAR downstairs until Dad gets home cat" I went back into my room and turned up my music so I wouldn't hear anything else.

Why do they follow me -.-

I'd be scared to go anywhere near your work if I were you...and is it possible for an apparition to follow someone home? I suppose it could be. I have no idea. Could be one that was there to start with. Why yes, I do believe in the paranormal. I don't go chasing it or anything, as it scares me shitless, but I do believe. I've heard too many stories like this for me NOT to believe!

Have you tried telling them to just leave you alone ? Sometimes that works.

Ask them what they want. Sometimes that works as well, but if you are hearing growls and moans, it might be memories of previous injuries and nothing might work.

If they bother me than yeah I'll tell them that. Mostly it's just sounds. They don't normally show their presence quite that energertically.

There was one that apparently followed my ex when we first moved in together. Things would disappear and reappear. Since he's moved out, most of that activity seems to be gone.

It's the time of year to clear out the old and bring in the new. A thorough cleaning is great, but if it's not feasible, a complete dusting and vacuuming at home to clear all the cobwebs and dust bunnies is a good start. Then sage the place thoroughly. Sage bundles aren't that expensive as long as you don't get straight white sage (which burns too fast, too smokey, and makes your house smell like a sausage factory). I like sage and sweetgrass. If you want more details on it, PM me.

As for work, your choices are more limited. If you can clear out the cobwebs and dusty areas, that would be great. I was given the suggestion of taking a raw egg still in the shell then carrying it around the building, raising it up into the corners and under shelves. After you've thoroughly walked the building, take the egg to an area away from the building and bury it. Let me know if you try it and if it worked.

I think that's what's known as an "attachment". Learned that from watching alot of episodes of "A Haunting" on Discovery channel.
I'm glad I didn't read the original post late at night with the lights out, it would have creeped me out even more than it did with the lights on early in the evening.

Because most people's workplaces don't allow smudging, you could try walking around with a cup of strong tea, lemon scented will work nicely. Gently fan the steam into the corners and crevices and say something along the lines of "I banish all evil energy from this space."

Yep. Spirits can attach themselves to certain people, places, and things. I have one that I think started out one way-- attached to my house-- and then specifically attached himself to me. Not that I mind. He's my ghost kitty and one of three protectors I have.

That's some seriously creepy stuff right there...especially the stuff with the locker room and the gate alarm not going off. I don't know if its true or not, but I have heard the energies of spirits and demons can cause electronics to malfunction, so that could be an explanation for why the alarm didn't work. As for the other stuff, with the table moving and other creepy happenings...just wow.

Wow, I think the work problems would scare me most - at least you only spend limited hours there. Have you talked to anyone else to compare stories?

The home one is creepy, but not necessarily scary - depends on how it made you feel.

We bought a house 5 years ago, and I've even begun to keep a log of all the odd things that have happened (wish I'd done it from the first incident). I've experienced odd things before in life, but hubby, nothing til now. But here, both hubby and I have experienced things, nothing really drastic or scary, but lots of different types of odd things going on, so far we have, at one time or another, experiened things involving smell, sound, sight & touch. It's mostly in the older part of our house (original house is 70 years old, with additions that are 20 & 30 years old. So far, though a couple of the things have freaked us out a bit, we don't feel at all scared, and there's no really negative feel to it all.

Feel free to email me personally if you want to chat about the subject.

                              Madness takes it's toll....
