So, I just passed my year anniversary of working for my current company (while being a temp employee, still, if that makes any sense), and with one of my coworkers going part-time, figure there'll be an opportunity to go full time.
So, I get a call from the boss, who sure enough offers me full time.
As long as I move two and a half hours from where I live, leaving friends and family too far away to see/help our regularly, to an area where I know literally no-one. Other jobs aren't exactly available in this area either, so the idea that my wife would leave to move down with me would be ridiculous.
Never mind that the salary I'm being offered is the same as my wife's current, so her moving into an entry level position would have us in the same financial situation, only in a substantially shittier area.
Soooo, just waiting on my boss to return my call so I can turn it down, and start looking for a new job. Yay.
