It was pretty bad friday even where I was, but southern Indiana and Northne Kentucky got hammered. As quoted by a sheriffs official, "Tornadoes have left widespread damage in southern Indiana and a sheriff's official says at least one town of about 1,900 people is "completely gone." An F4, close to F5 tornado wrecked the town. It tore the high school apart. Fortunatly the principal let the schools out early due to the weather. School buses taking kids back home had to either turn around or find the nearest shelter it hit so fast. 11 kids managed to make it off a school bus and into shelter right before their bus was THROWN INTO A BUILDING. A woman took and entire busload of kids(and the driver) into her basement for shelter. Another person took her own kid and 3 others into her car at the school and floored it out of the path.
Luckily so far they've reported no kids or teachers injured or killed at the school. They even had a home video from someone who had been watching the storm from their mobile home and had a tornado coming right at them. They left the camera on as they all jumped into their cars and fled. It's a good thing they did as I believe the tornados path went directly THROUGH their mobile home.
