  • The hell?

So, I'm sitting here on my break, reading, and a customer knocks on the door. Customer pokes her head in, and asks if she can warm up her coffee. The hell?

WTF? Why would a customer think that's okay?

Once, the housekeepers left open our break-room door, which opens to the outside. I was in the back office with Other MOD, when we saw a guest wander through...okay yeah, the door was open, but it still says "Employees Only" and has junk piled everywhere. It's obviously not an area for guests!

People would ask that all them time at my hotel, either at the front desk where the breakroom had a microwave, or someone from the kitchen in the restaurant. Not just coffee, but take-out, baby bottles, etc. The answer every time had to be NO because we could not be responsible for their food being out of their control (say they had a nut allergy, had a reaction and claimed that their food was exposed to nuts in our kitchen. Or, the bottle is too hot and burns the baby) and it was for their safety and ours. They just never wanted to spring the $ to have a microwave in the room!

Ha ha! What a moron! Idiot doesn't comprehend the fact that she's in an employee area. Tell her, "Yep, you can warm up your coffee, but you have to be HIRED here first!"
