A couple days ago, which was my 2nd day at the store, a customer came through with some groceries and paid for her food stamp items with a food stamp card. Unfortunately, there was a non food stamp item she didn't want and the system wouldn't let me void it since the food stamp payment went through so I got the supervisor to help me get it voided.
It turned out that the food stamp payment had to be voided in order to void the item she didn't want. The customer complained how she was charged twice in the past and that she had 4 kids to feed. Eventually, the situation got fixed and the food stamp card was put through again. I was able to give the customer proof that the first food stamp charge was voided in case there was a problem.
