WTF is it lately with old people and their SD cards?
Due to a stroke of scheduling genius on my manager's part, there was nobody to cover the salesfloor on the GM side of the store until 9, and nobody in electronics either. So because my assigned areas to stock are close to electronics, I got pulled to help a few customers.
One of them being a crotchety old lady who wanted to know where the SD cards were for cameras. I showed her, and then went to get a TV out of the back for a very nice lady who asked me nicely.
On my way back to the deaprtment, old lady with the SD cards barked at me "How the hell do you get this thing offa here?"
Note: the particular SD card the woman wanted was on a locked peghook, due to it being $75 retail. The lock is a little red plastic thing you snap onto the peghook after you've put product on it. To remove product, you remove the lock using a long magnet called an Alpha key.
But here the woman had yanked the entire peghook, SD cards and all, out of the gondola, and was trying to rip an SD card off the peghook, behind the lock, through the cardboard package!
So, cue me heading back behind the counter to grab the Alpha key without letting the old woman see my DIAF look.
On the way out, she tossed a watch battery at the service desk lady and barked something at her about her being a liar or something.
