  • We almost accidentally ripped off Burger King

I was in the backseat and my mom went through the BK drivethru for my bro, who was up front. Mom ordered 4 whoppers for him which came to about $9 (it was whopper wednesday) and my bro passed her a bill to pay for it. The guy gave my mom some odd cents to pay for it, and my mom said "Excuse me, I gave you a twenty." The guy was like "Really?" and my bro said "I thought that was a ten." Amazingly, the guy gave her a ten back, and we drove into the parking lot. My bro said "I only had one twenty and I still have it." My mom said that she could have sworn it was a twenty, but my bro said that if the cash register is short that guy could get into trouble and might even have to pay out of his pocket.

My mom didn't want to get anybody into trouble, so she went into the front of the restaurant where the poor drive thru guy was getting chewed out by the manager. (It was late, the front was empty) My mom said "Excuse me, my son says he was absolutely sure it was a ten he gave me, so I want to give this back." The drive thru guy looked totally relieved and said thank you about 3 times! The manager thanked my mom too. Just another night with our family.

I almost put this in sightings, but decided no one was really being sucky here.
I'm just glad my mom gave it back because that guy was a bit naive just giving out money without checking, it's a good thing it wasn't a scammer trying that. Anyway, I hope this post makes sense because I am very sleepy right now. Speaking of BK, I can't wait for the Angry Whopper to come back! It's my complete favourite. I wish they would make it permanent. Good night everybody!

No one was improper in any way. An honest mistake that was readily fixed.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.
