You Didn't Help Pack Her Bags

Today, one of the service desk employees told me that a customer complained that I didn't help pack her bags and that I should do so in the future. It was most likely a customer who brought their own bags and I'll usually help bag if they want me to. This customer didn't tell me that she wanted me to help and if she had I would've done so. If a customer doesn't want me to bag their groceries, I try to respect that, but I do need to know.

Some of the customers I get that bring their own bags prefer to do it themselves. That's because they know how they want the items bagged.

I doubt management will listen to you if you suggest putting signs up, but in your case, maybe make your own signs and carry them with you to which ever register you'll be at. This way, if the same thing happens, you can just point out, "she didn't/couldn't read my sign, so I'm not at fault..."

Ah yes, the passive aggressive people. Even better are the double edged sword ones, but this person just seemed like a piss pants.

You should be psychic and just "know" stuff without being told to do it, otherwise they get mad.

Now with small things, I'll get the cashiers handle bagging on their own. But if I'm buying a bunch of 2-liters, like I do, I'll generally prefer to do it myself. They haven't got the time to bag up a lot of sodas just for me.

Carrot Top packed my bags. He and Martha Stewart and Florence Henderson came over to the house last night. Fixed me a lovely lobster newburg, gave me a full body massage with sacred oils from India, performed a four-way around the world then they packed my bags.


Yeah, I know it's grocery-store "packing" but I get that bit in my head whenever I hear about packing bags.
