    I'm a lurker from the old board days, just checked back--sorry for your loss.

    But I also meant I feel for your stories as employees, even though my customer service time served and experiences are quite modest by comparison--fortunately, so are my sins as an SC (except for a few dark moments that the company in question also had a hand in; unlike the clueless, I really try to have a good reason for being difficult ).

    Knowing this is an employee's board, I genuinely try to maintain a balance between reporting what I think might be interesting experiences or different takes relevant to a thread and not sounding like I'm so critical of employees in the process, just because I've more often been on the customer end (even though we all feel that at times). If it doesn't resonate, know that I'm sensitive to it, and I'll step back and take a breath.

    Thanks to the mods' work and to all who've provided volumes of entertainment to feel better.
    I second that Frederick Douglass quote--unfortunately, so do a lot of SCs.

    to CS, Mixed Bag.

    This is a site to vent about sucky customers, but I do find that I sometimes, (not often, though), take the unpopular side of the customer depending on the situation.
    (I have been in retail for almost 30 years now, so I've seen a lot on both sides of the issues.)

    Glad you stopped lurking and joined us.
    Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.
