  • Steampunk Model Kit Contest

Industria Mechanika had asked for submissions of steampunk costumes a few weeks ago and now they're holding a month long poll to find the winner. That winner will get a 1/35 scale model made of them in their costume to also be sold as a kit for model painters and gamers (think Warhammer type games).

Anyhow, I'm hoping to get some help in the votes area. No registration is required to vote, it's free, and there are a lot of really great entries. So far, one of the members of my group is in first.

Please, please go vote, even if it's not for me (though it should be, solidarity and all ). I'm Leah, the one with the wings. I'd really like to at least come in second in case they decide to follow through on the idea of making the runner up into a kit as well.

I actually did vote for you. I can see why the scores are falling in where they are, but your costume is one of the most unique when it comes to kits/miniatures. I'd really love to see it made into a mini.

And I'd love to see the wings open as well.

Your wish: my command and all that jazz... I had submitted photos of the wings open, but I guess they decided not to post them. Odd.

That's very awesome how the wings were ceiling fan paddles. Kudos!

I tried to stuff the ballot box, but they track IPs.

                Good luck!

I tried that at the hostel in Chicago, but didn't make it past the first computer. :P Thanks for the thought though.

I think I like steampunk a little bit more every time I see some of it
