  • Forgive me nerds for I have sinned.

The only alien movies I've seen are Alien: Resurrection, Alien vs Predator, Alien vs Predator: Requiem.
Interviewer: What is your greatest weakness?
Me: I expect competence from my coworkers.

Definitely find a good time to watch the original.

It's suspense horror, which wasn't kept as suspenseful in later installments.

IMO the first two are the best. I don't fault you for not having seen them but if you enjoyed the others you owe it to yourself to check out the first two films.

My coworkers decided that the day before I started maternity leave was a great time to watch them. Working with a bunch of guys was great.

my bf has taken pains to fix my inadequacies in this too. although i don't really remember 3. iirc he hasn't made me watch that one yet cos he didn't like it either.

next on the list is "real genius" because I've only seen a few parts. And the hunt for red october... not because I haven't seen it (i saw it in the theatre) but because it's been a long time and i only remember a few bits.

Wait, you've never seen E.T.? Mars Invades!? (I haven't seen that one.) Earth Girls Are Easy? Independence Day? Any of the Star Wars? Any of the Star Treks? Green Lantern? The Last Starfighter? Contact? Any of the Men in Blacks? These and many more are, technically speaking, alien movies. Just saying.

PLEASE at least watch Independence Day. And Explorers. The last one is a movie from the 80s, look it up.

I was too young to see the original Alien in theatres, but after (eventually) seeing the first three, I sort of lost interest.

I did enjoy Alien Vs. Predator the way it was meant to be enjoyed... on the Atari Jaguar.
