Trailer to the new Evil Dead movie. For those of you who only saw Army of Darkness and not the original, it was a little on the graphic side. This one is even more graphic than the original because they actually have real money for things like effects and paying the actors etc.

So that's your first warning. It's not for the faint of heart.

Second warning: Sam and Bruce produced it, but did not act in it. So no, no Ash... but seriously he's not 20 anymore so this isn't surprising, and he has a serious gig that's not worth ditching. (Although is it me or does "Sam Axe" sound a lot like "Sam Ash"? Anyone? )

But that's like making Rocky Horror without Tim Curry (droooool) as Frank N Furter...It just makes NO SENSE....

I've only got Evil Dead 2, but even with it's limited budget, it's still pretty gory, with a couple really good scares. From the trailer, it looks like they went WAY over the top, and it's less scary than "what were you thinking?"

I have to agree with the others. Even with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell being reportedly a part of the production staff it just won't do the original justice.

i dunno.... i'm still willing to give it a try really, especially since they were involved.

and well, if i want to see bruce in action i'll just pop in the burn notice dvds...

Forget it. I hate remakes, and I don't care if some of the original people were involved in this one. It's just another way to hook up the milking machine to a cash cow and drain it some more. Hell, even Bruce Campbell urges people NOT to see remakes, which makes it all the more baffling that he'd be involved in this fiasco.
