A woman, with an accent that suggests English might not be her first language, but well dressed and having the appearance of someone who shouldn't need this kind of help, asked me where the restroom was. I was at the front end, so it was a simple matter of pointing.
ME: Right down there m'am.
SC: Where?
ME: *Pointing* Right where that shopping cart is, down that hallway.
SC: You mean at the pharmacy?
The Pharmacy is miles and miles past where I am pointing.
Me: No ma'am, I'm pointing right at it.
SC: There's is no bathroom down there. It says employees only.
Okay. So she can read English, because there is a sign that says Employees only at the end of the hall. But if you actually walk down the hall you will see the men's room and the women's room is just an approximately ninety degree turn from the Employees only door.
I actually had to physically guide her down that hall and show her where the bathroom was, listening to her tirade about how there was no bathroom there the whole way. I seriously expected her to ask me for further instructions when I showed her the clearly labeled women's room.
