So, a little background. I work at a drugstore that ends with a color at the end in the States. I have a regular that comes in who is homeless (HG we shall call him). No big deal. A little lonely. I just don't really like this guy all too much. Gives me the creeps, so I try to avoid him./background

Around 9:45 last night HG came in a little hunched over. I was gonna start ringing people up. Well, in that moment I saw blood squirting out of his forehead (according to news reports, he was shot with a BB gun). So I called my manager up and then dialed 911. I gave the phone to my manager cause I suck at phone calls (and I was panicked at the moment). I was running around to get gloves, paper towels and the pharmacist. Well, we had a nurse in training come up to help. A few moments later the police and the EMTs came in. After bringing my customers to the cosmetics counter and ringing them up, the police closed off the store. No one was allowed in except the employees (they needed my store manager to get video tape footage).

Now, I don't like blood. I don't like this guy. But when someone's life is dangling, screw my dislikes. I got shaky afterwards. Came in this morning and set up a phone session to talk to someone either tonight or tomorrow. And left early. This has been going on in my mind. I am a sensitive person emotionally.

    Also-
I was counting stuff ealier in the pharmacy. One of the techs came up and asked me questions. In a sarcastic manner. I didn't appreciate that and talked to my store manager and she had a talk with the tech. I came back there to drop something off and she just glared at me. Not even an apology.

Oh my goodness you poor thing! You did a lot better than I would have. I'm extremely hemophobic and would have passed out on spot. Was the man okay?

They say he is recovering. I told my coworker (she was semi-friends with him) he was ok. No trauma.

Well, of course. From her twisted perspective, you are in the wrong for calling her out on her shit, which, of course, she thinks smells like roses ~_~

Good for you for acting well in an emergency situation. Be proud of yourself.

            1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
            2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
            3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
            4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
