  • Your Obsession

Seraph's post about her cool bead art made me think: everyone has an obsession that takes up too much space in your home. What's yours? Post pics where applicable!

Being a writer, mine is probably pretty obvious...

It took a many pictures to cover my obsession. I'll just link to a blog post instead of posting them all and taking up space on CS:

Batman be my main obsession next to my favorite band (they mostly take up space on the walls and my closet). I'll try to take pics, just stuff is spread out. Plus my room is a mess.

Right now, there are piles of model kit boxes all over the basement. My workbench looks like a scrapyard/used-car lot in 1/25 scale

Books, books, and boxes of books.

Oh, and unicorns. Maybe even more unicorns than books.

Um...books and games. I think there are books in every house, and we have a wall filled with video, board, and roleplaying games.

Books, sewing and crafts (I actually have an entire room in the basement dedicated to sewing and crafts), baking and cooking (our guest room closet is our overflow pantry and about 1/2 of it is taken up with pails of fondant, cake pans, cake boards, and cake boxes, along with two giant cannisters of flour and sugar).

Of my books, a growing number of them are to do with my research obsession: the early middle ages, the Völkerwanderung, the Nibelunglied and fairy tales (yes, this is all 1--makes sense to me).

Mine: Books and miniatures. We're in the process of replacing the dying bookshelves, so they're in piles or boxes at the moment, but we've got lots.

Mrs. Crossbow: scrapbooking and Disney. At least her scrapbooking habit lets me buy more minis.

the three obvious ones are books, games and cds - but they're relatively organised.

My other obsession is Snoopy. I have a huge collection of stuffed dolls (can't take pics as they're currently in the loft as we don't ave the space to display them) and a load of books, mugs, eggcups and ornaments collected over the years. I'll try and link to some pictures later on.

Mine tend to ebb and flow, or be seasonal. We just got done with the season for my biggest obsessions, pumpkins and witches I collect both.

Right now I don't have a major obsession going on.

Books, Cosplay costumes (like 2 rooms deducated to them with beds in for guests as well), all my husbands figurines (Myth and magic, alchemy gothic, lego minifigures etc), Dragon furniture and mirrors.

We don't have any wall space anymore... we've even considered putting stuff on the ceilings!

                        Welp, besides the obvious?

Ponies, video game collectibles, and ridiculous amounts of games, books, and DVDs.

But yeah, I sorta kinda built a shelf in my office just for ponies. :P

It's just a really, really good thing that games have gone mostly digital these days.

My Steam list alone is over 200 titles long. >_>

Oh, yeah, and I have a love of plushies. And, yes, my collection of those will soon include a custom OC pony.

Well, I'm not sure I can really afford it, myself, but it's not going to make me miss any meals, so I went for it.
