OK i just have to get this out. I got written up today for being rude to a customer. She was insisting i refund her for a charge sent to her card for a radio service she uses. when I informed her that processing a refund would close out the radio, she became enraged and let me know she was going to write letters. I couldnt help myself. " Write all the letters you want! Can i send you a stamp?" <click> oops call dropped or did it muahahahaha

It astounds me, really it does, how many people think that a threat like that is going to change the rules in their favor, or that it will somehow intimidate the customer service representative into making an exception JUST FOR THEM.

Gotta say, AWESOME response, though getting wrote up for it sucks.

When I worked for Smish Metwork, people always thought threatening to cancel their satellite tv would make me do what they wanted.

No it didn't, it just made me transfer the call to that department. Which I was always too happy to do....I got the transfer button ready and said "Ok, then let me get you over to that department to cancel the account" so they knew I wasn't playing and clicked...I refused to argue with them.

Wow, you worked endured Smish Network too? I loved being able to transfer calls to the winback department too, got the custy off of my back and on to someone else's instead.

Bwahahaha, that's right up there with my ex-CW Little Mama Awesome's great comeback to a Sucktomer that was harassing her at the wholesale club meat department.

Sucktomer: "My membership pays your salary!"
Little Mama Awesome: "Can I have a raise?"

(For reference, the meat department was closed, in the midst of post-closing clean-up. Sucktomer was expecting, nay, demanding they reopen to take her order. LMA wasted no time in dissuading Sucktomer of that entitlement.)
