I can't find it any where and drawing a blank on the name...

it was from the late 90s, and it was about a "stage magician" that was actually doing real magic, and kinda...fought crime? Had a large cat...panther I think as part of his act.

Not from the '90s, but Bill Bixby was in a show called The Magician where he played the title character, who also fights crime. However, this was in the early '70s.

The first thing that came to my mind was this old cartoon called Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1iwzMnwbiY

Very similar to the one Chanlin pointed out, but with a female protagonist instead of male. She also had a large cat- A snow leopard (which I still have because I collected the hell outta those toys when the show was still running).

This discussion reminds me of CyberSix and Nighthood.

No, neither is the right show ( Though Cybersix has a panther ). However, both were awesome and any further argument is invalid. >.>

Was it a British show or an American one? There's a few UK shows like that, like Jonathan Creek.

There was a second, VERY short run series of the same name in 1999.

Hope this is it, Sarlon, or my google-fu has failed me.

(eta: the panther was blue, if that helps.)

Yes, Google-Fu is failing me as well. This nebulous opponent flows like water, eluding even the most precise attacks. You'd think the giant cat part would be a big hint but alas it solves nothing. >.>

Not a TV show, but a moivehere. It's called Spooky House. It's got a magician and a panther.
