So I'm working on a project. I'm taking all the threads (not necessarily posts) from some of the famous members of CS, putting them in a document, sorting them, and so-on.

I'll be posting progress on this thread. I already have a few planned, but I'm not spoiling who I pick yet, since all the ones on my list could see this. >_<

And the first one, coming in at 2,000 unedited pages is Gravekeeper! (Of course.)

That should keep me busy for quite a while.

For those who can't wait for the fully finished project, here is the raw Tales of Gravekeeper.

Because, for some reason (claims I'm missing a security token) I can't upload it through CS, I'm instead giving a link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bz9S...it?usp=sharing

This has mostly come from the fact that I often want to share Gravekeeper's posts with friends, but have trouble finding the ones I like the best to share. (SinceI can't share all 2,000 pages.)

    Edit: Seraph is done!

The document "Gravekeeper Archives" has been automatically removed from Scribd by our automated copyright protection system because it appears very similar to an unauthorized copyrighted document that was previously removed from Scribd.

Just thought i'd let you know..

Yeah, I just finished trying to put it on Google instead. I also figured out why it won't upload on here. It's like, 18x too big.

I may have to split it into volumes while I sort it.

Google also seems to be intimidated by its size, but you should be able to download it from there.

My posts themselves only weigh in at over 100 pages or so ( Other CS member have already kindly compiled them into a variety of formats for me over the years. I even have them in pdf and ereader format most recently >.> ). Are you trying to archive entire threads? ;p

Haha, Gravekeeper, I'm not. The only thread I went through updates on was the one on your cat (I'm a sucker for cats. I've got a crazy one myself. Apparently when I went to school yesterday, she circled where my car had been, meowed accusingly at anyone that would listen, then petulantly sat at the edge of the driveway until I came home, where she then ran for her life to the stairs so she wouldn't get run over.)

But I've only got, in the newly sorted document: Skytrain/Transportation incidents, sightings, Wrong Numbers, The Crazies (Hot Tips, W.T.F. and The Fangirl (holy frick by the way on that one), Tech Support, and Property Management, and it's 500 pages of pure sarcasm and crazy.

The only major delay has been trying not to laugh to death.

Googledocs refused to render it for me o_O But it did let me download it. Word says it's 2001 pages of what appears to be plain text at 10-point type, single spaced, default margins, over 707 thousand words o_O, and almost 10 megs big...Either this one has a bunch of extra stuff, the others have less, or there are multiple, significantly differing definitions of the word "page" out there (page length and margins could definitely make a difference, but THAT much of a difference??) -- it could also just be a matter of different periods of time covered.

I did a search of all threads started by Gravekeeper, of which C.S. lists 17 pages worth (there was only one thread on the last page.) I cut out all shorts on things like MMOs, and I'm cutting out most pictures. (There's still a spare cat picture or two that had survived the initial copy-paste.)

I'm definitely offering up Gravekeeper's works by volume, something I don't expect I'll have to do with anybody else.

Right now, these are the sorting categories:

              Non-Work (Vol. 1)
              Poems, Music, Odes
              Skytrain/Transit Tales
              Halloween Round-Up
              Sightings
              Apartment/Cat Tails (bad pun XP)

              Work (Vol 2)
Wrong Number (At least 50 pages of this alone.)
              Crazies, Conspiracies, and Chasers
              867 and 404

              Work (continued) (Vol 3)
              Tech Support
              Property Management

I've mostly been sorting via keywords right now, but that won't work when I sort each section individually. With the volumes though, this should keep each volume at a nice 200-300 pages, and I'll likely offer up the complete works later.

I just clearly had to start with Gravekeeper, though, because while I'm not his fangirl (TM), his digests are the main reason I joined this site.

Other C.S. Members I've started archiving for the project: (I'll take suggestions on these!)
              Seraph Complete up to 6/12/13
              Jester
              Argabarga Complete up to 9/9/13
              Kara
              Gravekeeper
I haven't decided if I want to do a Complete Complete works, where all of the individual archives will be merged. Seeing how big just one of these is, I'll have to see.

I have a pretty complete set for Kara (I think up to 2012). I have GK up to around 2009 (I need to get back on it) , I also have Kusanagi (Complete), Lupo (Complete to early 2012), and I started on Customers Ruin My Life ( I think I only have to 2008 or so).

I do include pictures, especially if they are significant to the post topic. I also had to break GK up into two documents (~450 pages each, and as I said I am only up to about 2009). I pretty much just copy the OP, any significant reply that includes more/clarification of the story, or any updates to it. Then I organize it by date (and time code if there are multiple posts in one day), and edit spacing, and minor typos (to make it easier for me to read). I also stick with the threads that they started, and haven't hunted down each and every post they ever made.

If you would like any of the Word Docs I have created, I'd be happy to e-mail them to you, but they are quite large.

Ok, I can see Lupo and CRML, but who is Kusanagi? Did I come too late, or just get hit by a rock?

As for your document, I'll PM you, but I've got most of GK down, to the point where I might (if I pull another all-nighter. Not necessarily due to this, it's due to being an insomniac) be able to upload the first volume tomorrow.

Wow. Let me say I am honored and humbled by this. And that if you're gonna sort through all the craziness from GK, me, and the others you mentioned, you're gonna need some serious medication. Personally, I recommend rum.

I'd have to say you're late to the party. Kusanagi had some epic tales a few years ago, but he doesn't really post here much anymore, and hasn't in a while,

And speaking of your tardiness, as it were, if you are going to compile my stories, please be advised that I have a doozy in Morons in Management, called The Saga of Shit Weasel, if I remember correctly. I humbly ask that you include this one in your compilation.

I also wold like to request that you omit the two Human Piñata threads, as there was nothing funny about either of them, and the first one was and is especially painful for me.

                    Thank you.

Will-do Jester. Any threads you started should be included, except the ones you requested, of course.

Also, if anyone wants to do art for these, I'll be uploading them with placeholder images because I'm not really a visual artist, but if you have an idea, and you want me to update (with credit given, of course) I will.

Oh, and thankfully for my sanity, I'm already on serious medication. XP

You know what? Ignore what I said last night. I was in a bit of a mood.

Here's my thinking: if you're compiling this for the funny posts, those threads obviously should not be included. But if you're complying all posts, they probably should be, as they have very important messages in them.

But that's up to you. It's your project, and I shouldn't be telling you how to do it. You do whatever you think is best, and just let us know when you've finished it. And don't let me or anyone else tell you how to do it. Unless you want to.

Any questions, never hesitate to ask. Me, I'm gonna butt out and go make some chili now. (Chili cookoff this weekend.)

Of course, I probably post in Off Topic a lot more than GK, so that could explain the discrepancy, at least somewhat.

Watch it! There are probably MANY more than 20 pages worth of threads. The search tops out at 20 (or the ~400 most recent threads started). Refine your search to specific forums (ie: Sucky Customers ONLY) and I think it will still top out. For the first ones that he posted (back in 2006) you probably will need to personally search the archive for them in the particular forum.

I know Jester, and CRML both have more than 20 pages worth of threads that they have created. I don't know how many other members have as well. However, if the poster has well over 1,000 posts you will probably need to, at the very least, refine your search.

                            Good Luck,

Yeah, you're a little late to the party, he hasn't really posted any customer stories since 2009, and I don't think he's been here at all since 2010. Though he did have some doozies (Ah, Ghetto Superstar).

Also, while archiving, you might want to get some of the "Classic Tales" from the Annals (like Vinegar Boy)
