I kid you not... Dr Patrick Cronin, will be teaching one of my classes and is actually the artist in resident...

I had an Artist in Residence teach me last year.

They run a similar program where an artist will go out to schools and run a term's worth of classes with various year levels. Sometimes it'll involve a painting or mural as well.

(My sister's art class created a mural for the art building. She's actually featured on it. My legacy to that school has been proof that there is nothing wrong with playing a classical instrument )

One of my profs during my undergrad is featured in the media quite frequently, writing up his take on various political events. I ADORED him during my classes as he kept them interesting and engaging.
I actually did a spit-take the first time I walked past the TV and saw him on there.

on the other hand I have a rather boring schedule this first semester...lots of required "fuff" classes.

The good news is though, is that I have most of Friday and almost all of Thursday free, and the rest of the week I'm done no later then 3!
