I may not have cheered but I would have bought lunch for the customer who 'helped'.

I know it can be frustrating to lose work to outsourcing, it has happened to me 3 times, and I was laid off of my last job due to the economy, but I have absolutely no issue with people moving to the US and getting jobs. Would the nasty customer worked a serving line in a sandwich shop? Or would that job be "beneath him"? He is the type of customer who thinks that a sandwich shop job "isn't a real job". Moron.

People can't even use the excuses that were used when (for example!) the Irish were immigrating and taking all the hard labor/"low-class" jobs. Back then, there was no minimum wage, so the Irish would just say "You can pay me less!"

Now that there is minimum wage (especially for jobs where all you get is min. wage unless you've been there for a while) immigrants don't have an... erm... advantage? (Though anyone can say "I'll work for less!" it's just people usually stick that kind of mentality on "desperate foreigners! OMGAWD!")

I find this funny. My current job is delivering pizzas. Pretty menial when you think about it. But with tips Im actually doing pretty good, more than I made as a call center sup and about half the hours and 800% less stress. Sure I dont get benefits...yet. But half the reason I quit the supervisor job (salaried) was due to massive amounts of stress causing physical symptoms.

While Ill admit there are a handful of jobs I wouldn't do again, Id try almost anything out.

I enjoy this job as menial as it is. Hell, I have time to go to the gym every night for an hour or two and the boss is good about granting me days off when I ask. Of course I've only asked for two so maybe that's why.

Yeah but they have video surveillance there too. I remember PK mentioning it in the stories about Asshat's efforts to flush his career down the shitter.
